Today, 14 April, is doubly auspicious for Thailand, a two-in-one special of National Elderly Day and National Family Day.
On this special day, General Prayut Chan-o-cha delivered a message to the kingdom’s aged population via Deputy Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek.
This is an excerpt from his message:
“The new COVID-19 situation is easing and moving towards a positive direction. Part of the reason is family love and care, with every Thai family lending a hand in helping the country to come through in a time of crisis.”
In related news, after hovering just under one thousand new infections for each of the last few days, Thailand today discovers a recorded 1,335 new cases.
Total infections stand at 35,910 cases, with 28,322 recovered and 97 deaths.
Hospitals are reporting shortages of beds. Vaccines are still largely unavailable. Lockdowns are looming.
